WWW Wednesday

WWW WednesdaysSo here goes with today’s WWW Wednesday post.

The idea comes from the Should Be Reading blog and the idea is as follows…

To play along, just answer the following three questions…

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

The NewlywedsWhat are you currently reading?
The Newlyweds by Nell Freudenberger. It follows Amina, a young woman from Bangladesh who moves to America to be with a man she has met online and hardly knows. It’s a bit of a slow burner but it is a lovely, interesting story. I’ll be reviewing it here once I’m done.

What did you recently finish reading?
The Winter Ghosts by Kate Mosse. You can find out what I thought here.

What do you think you’ll read next?
The next book I read will be the 100th book I’ve started this year! I haven’t quite decided what it will be yet, although I recently got the following from the library so it may be one of these…

Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
A Life Apart by Neel Mukherjee
The Immigrant by Manju Kapur
Burial Rites by Hannah Kent

Feel free to tell me which book you think should be my 100th!

  1. I’ve also read Attachments and Burial Rites from your list, and loved both. If you’re looking for something on the lighter side for the holidays, I’d say Attachments is the one! I need to go read your review of The Winter Ghosts. I read it last year, and loved it.

  2. Burial Rites is great, and I wouldn’t really describe it as too heavy a read. It’s quite emotionally wrenching, but it’s so well written that it just flows along – some beautiful language and great wintry descriptions. Perfect for cold nights with hot chocolate…
