Here is what I am reading now, then and next!
Katie has been hanging around Comanche Street for three years and there are still times when it feels like she is watching a movie starring everyone in the world, except her.
Through sun-kissed days by the ocean and hazy nights in drifter bars, through love and death and pain, while the Vietnam war rages distantly and yet disturbingly close, she yearns to belong and never dreams that all the others want is to escape. Night after night, they wait for something to happen. It’s summer, and anything is possible . . .
I have recently finished the very nostalgic The Generation Game by Sophie Duffy, and thriller Saving April by Sarah A Denzil. Reviews of both will be posted shortly!
I’m really looking to forward to reading Carys Bray’s new book, The Museum of You, which my book club has chosen for July. I’ve also recently bought copies of a few books that have been on my wishlist for ages, including What Milo Saw by Virginia MacGregor, and Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson. So lots of summer reading to get on with!
