Here is the second book that make it onto my list of top reads of the year….
The Supremes at Earl’s All You Can Eat Cafe by Edward Kelsey Moore
This novel follows a group of three friends known as The Supremes, who have known each other from high school and have a table reserved from them in Earl’s cafe, where they meet regularly to chat about their lives and loves. They each have struggles of their own, and find comfort, friendship and humour in each other’s company.
I whizzed through this novel which is brought alive by the wonderful, three-dimensional characters, who you grow to love throughout the book. They are lovable yet flawed and even the bad guys have redeeming features.
My only complaint is that this is Moore’s only novel to date!
