Here is what I am reading now, then and next!
Now…
I’m about to start reading One by Sarah Crossan, which is the tale of conjoined twins and is told entirely in free verse. I have read Crossan’s other books and while I loved Apple and Rain, I wasn’t entirely sure about The Weight of Water – and the latter was also written in prose so it may be that that spoils my enjoyment of this one. But I’m really looking forward to getting started with it.
Then…
I have literally just finished reading Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng, a very sad tale of a thoroughly and tragically dysfunctional family. I loved the book, and will get a review up soon.
Next…
I still need to read Perfect by Rachel Joyce for my October book group – I have exactly a week to go so I should manage it!
I’m also going to read the Young Adult novel Me Myself Milly by Penelope Bush – another book about twins! This seems to be my theme for today….
I’m not sure I’ve ever come across a novel written entirely in free verse. I’ll be interested to hear what you think of One when you’ve finished.

These sound like interesting books. I liked Perfect (discussed on my blog on May 8, 2014). I didn’t enjoy it as much as I enjoyed The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, though.

I’m…not sure I could read a book in free verse. Hm. More power to you!

It really wasn’t as distracting as I thought it would be – I stopped noticing after a few pages!
