Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly meme hosted by the Should Be Reading blog.
If you fancy joining in, here’s how…
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two teaser sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS!
• Share the title and author so other TT participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers!
I have just started reading Apple and Rain by Sarah Crossan which is a Young Adult novel. Here are my two teaser sentences taken from page 30…
“Pilar and I are in the science lab waiting for Ms Whyte to photocopy a worksheet. While I wait, I watch Nana push through the crowded playground and sit on one of the graffiti-covered benches. Her giant green golf brolly is keeping the rain at bay. She is sucking on the straw of a Ribena carton. I sigh.”
If you’ve published a teaser today, feel free to link to it here!
I have this book on Pippa, my Kindle, so now I am eager to begin reading it. Thanks for sharing. Here’s mine: “THE MURDERER’S DAUGHTER”

I’m not familiar with Sarah Crossan, but I don’t read a lot of YA novels, so that is probably why.

I’ve gone both ways with YA fiction. Some I liked, some not so much. Most are sort of hybrid, I really like parts, but if they’re too long, there’s bound to be parts that get tedious for me.

Interesting! I tend to read the ‘girlier’ ones I guess which always seem to be a good length. I avoid all the vampire / dystopian stuff!
