Just seen the Costa Book Awards 2014 winners on the Waterstones blog – I am thoroughly ashamed to admit that I have read none of the winners – or even any of the shortlisted books! Although several of them are on my wishlist…

Hmm… I’ve read three of the shortlisted books, but none of the winners. Nora Webster – brilliant. The Lives of Others – dreadful. And the Roy Jenkins biography – excellent.

Hmm Lives of Others is on my wishlist, and I have another Neel Mukherjee on my book shelf waiting to be read! Wonder how I’ll find them….
