Young adult novels of the year – which gets your vote?

I found this list of the best Young Adult novels of the year really interesting.

I’ve read a few YA novels this year and I’m really interested in that genre. From this list, I’ve only read We Were Liars – which I loved – but there are definitely a few I’ll be adding to my wishlist including I Predict A Riot, The Apple Tart of Hope and A Song for Ella.

Has anyone else read any of the books on this list? I’d love to hear any YA recommendations.

  1. I’ve only read one book on that list, The Iron Trial, but I want to read Half Bad. Some young adult books I’ve read (all fantasy or scifi) are Cinder by Marissa Meyer, Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Tayor, Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo, Angelfall by Susan Ee, Graceling by Kristen Cashore, (lots of people liked, I thought was good not great) Uglies by Scott Westerfeld, Chaos Walking by Patrick Ness (too sad for me personally) there are lots of Distopians out there right now too.
